Two major travel operators have pulled services to Sri Lanka within the past 48 hours. flydubai announced it is suspending all flights to Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, and UK-based TUI has cancelled Sri Lanka holidays through 18 July 2026, citing UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) guidance relating to ongoing political tensions.

flydubai operates multiple weekly frequencies between Dubai and Colombo. The airline has not provided a specific restart date. Passengers holding flydubai bookings to or from Colombo should contact the airline directly for rebooking or refund options. Codeshare services operated in conjunction with Emirates may also be affected — check with each carrier individually.

TUI Cancellations

TUI UK cancelled package holidays to Sri Lanka departing through 18 July. Affected customers have been contacted and offered full refunds or alternative destinations. The cancellations follow a UK FCDO review that noted the potential for civil unrest and disruption to transport networks in parts of the country.
